Enjoining What Is Good and Forbidding What Is Evil

Man is very forgetful and makes a lot of mistakes. His own self (nafs) tells him to do evil and the Shaytaan tempts him to commit sin.

The Difference

I sit where 1432 years ago once stronger, resolute lovers of Allah once sat. As the sight of the Ka'aba cools my eyes and warms my heart, I ponder over how the Prophet (Peace and Blessings be upon him) and the Sahabah (May Allah be pleased with them) stood firm against the most severe torture and faced the most horrendous of calamities with pure faith and trust in Allah the Almighty. Despite all the tribulations, they were able to spread Islam from the beautiful cities of Makkah and Madinah to all over the world.

While here we are people who cry over a lost watch for days and never recognise that the true blessing that we are losing with every passing beat of the heart is actually time.

If our biggest fear becomes being able to say 'Salam' to the person next to us in the masjid, how can we ever excel in spreading the Word of Allah?
We were ordered to pray the same Salah as the Prophet (Peace and Blessings be upon him) used to pray, we go to the same Masjid Al-Haram as the Sahabah (May Allah be pleased with them) used to go to. But what is different?
The level of Iman!
The level of Taqwa!

But we want the same stations in paradise?

People killed, battles fought, women exploited, the weak oppressed, the rich being the cruel authority.
Lying, backbiting, corruption, bribery.

Is this happening today?

Yes it is!

Did this happen before Islam?

Yes, it did!

But remember how the Muslims then grasped the message of the Quran into their hearts and set their souls to action?
To bring about a change in today’s world we simply have to put our foot down and start mending our hearts.

You and I, my sister, have the responsibility of ourselves and that of the Ummah. If we could just look back at the lives of the women at the Prophet’s (Peace and Blessings be upon him) time and compare ourselves to them, we would find in ourselves a lot to change.
If we could just wear our hijab every time we go out just as we wear it at Masjid Al-Haram, trust me sisters, Insha’Allah a lot will change. Within us, and within the Ummah.
We don't have to reach a certain age to be serious about Islam and start implementing the laws of Allah.
What made me turn around and look at the family passing by me at Al-Haram were the words of a father, 'Son, lower your gaze while walking.'
SubhanAllah! Very few fathers would give their sons such advice as opposed to the norm “He's a boy! You can't control him.”
And Masha’Allah, the obedience with which that little kid lowered his eyes and the training he is receiving, well, we can all pray for a great leader, Insha’Allah!

I pray this article serves as a reminder firstly for myself and for the entire Ummah.

May Allah accept make us firm in our Deen and may He accept from us.

Strangers...

Ummah, WE ARE STRANGERS!

If someone doesn't want to follow his/her desires, he/she is a STRANGER.
If someone doesn't want to disobey Allah and His Messenger, he/she is a STRANGER.
If someone gives up his/her previous sinful life, he/she is a STRANGER.
If someone tries to follow the Qu'ran and Sunnah, he/she is a STRANGER.
If someone cares more for what their Lord sees than what other people will think, he/she is a STRANGER.
If someone prefers to be a STRANGER in this world and struggles to enter JANNAH, he/she is a STRANGER in this life and WELCOMED BY ALLAH.

Don't try to get in the group of sin to be "cool", don't try to make yourself look like what non-Muslim people think of "normal", don't try to prove yourself to ANYONE but Allah, don't try to do anything not to be a STRANGER!

Because, Ummah, the Messenger of Allah (salAllahu 'alayhi wa salam) and all of the other messengers were all STRANGERS. They were part of their nations when they hadn't received the call from Allah.
After the call, they became STRANGERS. People would struggle and fight against them, they would do anything for the messengers to deny the call of OUR LORD, even the worst of actions they would do just to have their earthly "heaven" back to them, just to live as they wanted and deny God's rules. Just to follow their DESIRES.
The most beloved to Allah are STRANGERS, they don't act by other people's will, they act by Allah's rules.
So, don't be sad to be a STRANGER, don't be afraid of being a STRANGER, be PROUD. Because you're in a high position...

Remember Ummah, the Messenger of Allah (salAllahu 'alayhi wa salam) was considered trustworthy, an honest man. He was praised by everyone for his attributes... And people saw him as a STRANGER when he claimed to be the Messenger of Allah, subhanAllah...

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (salAllahu 'alayhi wa salam) as saying:

"The world is a prison−house for a believer and Paradise for a non−believer". (Muslim)

May Allah make us strangers in this world. Ameen.
